John W. Rickert Sr.

John W. Rickert Sr., 62, of Castleton passed away at home on Dec. 26, 2020. Born in Albany he was the son of the late George D. Rickert Sr. and Mary (Kolodich) Rickert. John was employed by Capital District Supply for 36 years as a sales associate until his recent retirement. He was an avid NASCAR and Miami Dolphins fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and enjoyed playing golf. John is survived by his son, John W. Rickert Jr. (Seandaya Hodge); daughter, Kayla (Doug) Williams; brothers, George (Kathryn) Rickert Jr., Ralph (Karen) Rickert and Donald Rickert; sister, Jean M. Rickert (Michael Plumb); grandchildren, Douglas and Loretta Williams, Quinn Hodge and Violet Rickert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. in Nassau on Wednesday from 4-7PM. The funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
