George E. Eager passed away on December 5, 2011. Eighty four years old, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George J. Eager of Nassau. An Army Veteran of WWII, George had worked for the Ironworkers Union Local #12 from 1952 until his retirement. He enjoyed his retirement for 24 years.

He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Beatrice (Salisbury) Eager; daughter, Mary (Alan) Gibson; sons, James A. Eager and George R. (Donna) Eager; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Mary Dunleavy of Naples Florida.

Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau Thursday, December 8 at 5:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 3-5pm prior to the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
