Sharon Calhoun

Sharon passed away March 3, 2021 in Lakeland, FL. Born April 25, 1944 in Hudson, she resided in Averill Park for 31 years prior to moving to Lakeland, FL nearly 17 years ago.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Robert Calhoun , Jr., her parents Robert and Marion Blair of Nassau and Mary Whitaker Blair of Hudson.
Sharon leaves behind 3 children, John (Tina) Menegio of Poughkeepsie, Judy Krug of Sand Lake, and Frederick Calhoun of Lakeland, FL; 3 stepsons, Robert, Patrick, and Randall Calhoun and their families; 6 grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, and Samantha Menegio and Dillon, Danielle, and Austin Calhoun; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was the oldest sister of Robert Blair, Jr., Charlene (Ron) Eigenbtodt, Kevin(Anita) Blair, Wayne (Cindy) Blair, Jeffrey Blair, Laurie(Kyle) Shuhart, and Lisa(Dan)Eames and many loved nieces and nephews.
Sharon retired as a Machine Adjuster after 30 years of hard work and dedication from Tek Hughes in Watervliet, NY.
Her infectious laughter and incredible singing will be missed. She loved Elvis and singing Tammy Wynette and her silly car songs. During her life she enjoyed crocheting, canning her vegetables, coffee and dessert dates with friends and many years of the "Young and the Restless". She loved her 3 dogs Angel, Roxy and Oliver.
A graveside memorial service will be held May 7, 2021 at 11 am at the Cemetery of the Maples, East Chatham, NY where Sharon will be placed in her final resting place. All friends and family are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers the family wishes a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in Sharon's name be made with the hope that one day God helps us find a cure for kidney disease.
