Obituary of Gordon E. Evans

Gordon E. Evans East Nassau Gordon E. Evans, 84, of East Nassau passed away December 1, 2011 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Born in Mineola NY, he was the son of the late Ralph M. and Laura (Cozzens) Evans. Gordon was a U.S. Army Veteran who served from 1945-1946. He went on to become a Vice principal for the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District from which he retired. Gordon was also a former Nassau Town Councilman. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Capeless) Evans and his brother, Raymond R. Evans. He is survived by his; nephew, Todd (Brenda) Evans of East Nassau; nieces, Wilma (Rick) Face of New Lebanon, Nancy (John) Barth of East Nassau, and Linda (Greg) Reed of Ghent. Also survived by his sister-in-law Joyce A. Evans of East Nassau. Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, Saturday December 10, at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00am to 12:00noon. Interment will be in East Nassau Cemetery.
