George W. Fuchs

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of George W. Fuchs, Jr. on Thursday, 10/7/21 at the age of 79 years.

George was a loving father of four daughters and passionate about motivating others to achieve greatness. As a SUNY graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, he enjoyed reading literature and emphasized the importance of education to his family. He was also a successful salesman. His determination and perseverance in sales once won him a car that he thoughtfully gifted to his mother. George enjoyed the sport of horseracing and day trips to Saratoga Race Track. He loved animals, playing Pinnacle with family and listening to gospel and Motown music and artists like Al Green and Otis Redding. George was a spiritual and compassionate man who volunteered his time at Hospice to help comfort those in need.

George will be remembered by his daughters, Sherylyn, Lorraine, Karlotta; grandchildren, Nikolas, Jared (Mark), Beau (Brandy), Nichole (Nikoloas), Chad; great-granddaughter, Natalie and numerous other family members and friends.

George was predeceased by his mother, Lillian and his daughter, Darlene.

A private family service will be held at Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm Street, Nassau, NY 12123.
Memorial Donations may be made in George's name to Community Hospice Gift Processing Center, 310 S Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.
