Obituary of Betty J. Romey

Betty J. Romey Nassau Betty J. Romey, 66, of Nassau passed away January 19, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Colorado she was the daughter of the late David and Edna (Krause) Mayfield. Betty was very religious and loved going to Church. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Parish in Castleton and was also an Apostle of the Sisters of the Resurrection. Betty was a family woman who especially loved taking care of her great grandson. Betty was enjoying her retirement from the Resurrection Nursing Home in Castleton upon her passing. She is survived by her loving husband Gary L. Romey; son, David Romey, daughters, Lorene Romey and Treena Hubbard, sister, Janice Uhler, grandchildren, Aaron Romey, Justin Rogow, and Alicia Hubbard. She is also survived by her great grandson, Cameron Sitzer. Betty was predeceased by her sister, Ida Sledge and her granddaughter Jessica Romey. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau on Tuesday January 24, from 5-7pm. There will be no formal funeral service at this time.
