Obituary of Adelheid Schaller

Adelheid Schaller, 86, of Schodack passed away at Evergreen Commons Nursing and Rehab. In East Greenbush on December 13, 2022.  Born in Graase Germany she was the daughter of the late Kurt and Maria Bogausch.  Adelheid loved gardening and creating beautiful pathways of stone and flowers that were bursting with colors in her yard.  She was a devoted mother and wife who always put her family before all else.  She would tell you that she didn’t like to cook but would create delicious meals for her family whenever they were together.  She enjoyed crafting and creating pieces of art, especially during Christmas time. 

She was predeceased by her husband Emil Schaller and her brother Peter Bogausch.  She is survived by her sons Wolfgang (Marlene) Schaller and Christopher Stefan Schaller; daughters, Elisabeth (Jerry) Gerke and Barbara Schaller (Arnold Hoch); brothers, Wolfgang (Frances) Bogausch and Gunter Bogausch.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Erik Schaller, Austin Mamone, Tyler Mamone and Jenna (Tim) Malone; great grandchild Eliana Malone and her sister-in-law Marianne Bogausch. 

Funeral service from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, on Thursday, December 15 at 12:00pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10am-12pm.  Interment in Nassau-Schodack Cemetery, Rt. 203, Nassau.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
